Casting: Monica Bellucci, Vanessa Redgrave, David Strathairn

Monica Bellucci, Vanessa Redgrave, David Strathairn, Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Anna Anissimova will join to Rachel Weisz on the set of independent political drama “The Whistleblower”. It will be directorial debut for Larysa Kondracki, who also had written the script with Eilis Kirwan. The plot is the real story of a policewoman Kathryn Bolkovac (Weisz), who served as UN peacekeeper in the postwar Bosnia and risked her career and even life, bringing publicity to cases of sexual exploitation of Bosnian women by UN staff, but also stated the involvement of peacekeepers in sex slave trade. The shooting of the picture will start on next week and will be held in Romania.
