Casting: Uma Thurman

Uma Thurman will join Robert Pattinson on the set of the adaptation of the novel by Guy de Maupassant’s “Bel Ami”. Kristin Scott Thomas has followed on the Uma’s steps. Pattinson will play a young provincial George Duroy, who, with the light hand of his friend Forestier became a journalist, however he did not conquer Paris with the help of literary talent (George doesnt has it at all), but because he successfully charms the ladies of high society. Uma Thurman will represent the wife of Forestier, which helps Duroy to start a career and to make the necessary acquaintance, and after the death of a spouse, marries with George. The role was offered to Nicole Kidman, but she has refused. The director Declan Donnellan will shoot this picture, it will be his debut film.
