Bosses of the “DreamWorks” studio have hired Laeta Kalogridis (“Shutter Island”) for a script adaptation of the cult manga “Ghost in the Shell”. A writer has to put in order the already existing writings of Jamie Moss (“Street Kings”), and, of course, to bring in adaptation her own ideas. In the “DreamWorks” plans is shooting the 3d-film on the base of published in 1989 manga and anime of Mamoru Oshii.
In 2004, the studio was publishing in America the “Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence” and about their intention to release a 3D-film, Steven Spielberg has announced in April of last year. And, as it turned out, “Ghost in the Shell” is one of the favorite stories of Steven Spielberg, so the “DreamWorks” studio would pay any money in the fight against “Universal” and “Sony” for the rights of remake.
