Oscar for the best special effects

The American Film Academy has announced the shortlist of the candidates for the nomination in the category “Best Visual Effects”. He you can see the full list:

“2012”
“Avatar”
“Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”
“Star Trek”
“District 9”
“Terminator Salvation”
“Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”

Each of the seven films which are present in the list, the academics will show in the form of a 15-minute cut: the demonstration will be held on January 21. According to the voting results will be determined the triple nominees for the Oscar. In general, it is clear who will be celebrating the victory, but the formalities will be kept for the order.

The candidates for the Academy Award nominations will be announced on February 2. The 82-nd Awards of the American Academy will be held on March 7.
