
Financial Times has informed that in this month’s auction will be on display the rights on franchise “The Terminator”. The rights is ready to leave luckless company “Halcyon”, which was successfully bankrupted with the “T4: Salvation”.
“Terminator” is a rare case when the blockbuster franchise has no control, not with any major Hollywood company, but the situation will change soon. The interest of the studios to the subject of trades is realy high, and currently the most powerful position among the players keeps the “Sony Pictures”. Views on the “Terminator” are also are having “Summit Entertainment”, which has stood firmly on its feet thanks to the franchise “Twilight”, and the company “Media Rights Capital”, which has produced the movie “Bruno”. There are more companies that oversees the project, for example, Platinum Equity – Company of Beverly Hills, which now owns Delphi, which is producing car parts.
The rights of “Terminator” does not apply to already released films: the buyer will be able only to produce new films, series and spin-Offs.
