The producer Jerry Bruckheimer sat novice writers Sean O’Keefe and Will Staples for the adaptation of the novel by Lorenzo Carcaterra “Apaches”. “Disney” studio won the battle for the film rights over “Warner Bros.” and “Paramount” studios long time ago, back in 1997, and only now finally Jerry Bruckheimer has got his hands to this adaptation. Producer and studio hopes that the film will start a franchise.

The main characters of the source (incidentally, an adaptation promises to be a freestyle, but not literal) – some New York City police officers who do not live quietly in retirement, until the city is ruled by crime. Cops are organizing a squad and with their own force are fighting the most dangerous and elusive criminals of New York.
