“The Lumiere Brothers” have rated the contribution of Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood at the past festival “Grand Lyon Film Fest” in France was awarded with the honorary award named after the Lumiere brothers, dealing mainly retrospective show of classics of world cinema. The prize was presented to Eastwood by another wide known director – Bertrand Tavernier.

“I think that France is my second home, and to Lumiere brothers, I am bound for the half a century of my career”, – said Eastwood when was receiving awards. “In each of your film there is something of Lincoln, that is, something the best of the American nation” – has already announced Tavernier, who is president of the Lumiere Institute, who was densely participating in the festival organization.

It is noteworthy that it is the second honorary award of Clint Eastwood from France for the current year: at the last “Cannes Film Festival” Clint Eastwood has also received the prize for contribution in cinema.

He is currently working on post-production with his new project “Invictus” with Matt Damon in the title role, also he began to shoot the mystical film “Hereafter”, which the representatives of the studio “Warner Bros” called as thriller in the vein of “The Sixth Sense.”
