On April 29, Lionsgate released a brief synopsis of the plot. Details revealed include confirming Agent Peter Strahm’s death and Lieutenant Mark Hoffman continuing Jigsaw’s work. The FBI is reportedly on Hoffman’s trail. This forces him to set up another game. Jigsaw’s overall scheme will also be finally understood. Meanwhile, William Easton, a lawyer at an insurance firm has been kidnapped and thrust into another game. One of his tests revolve around six of his junior associates being trapped on a carousel. William must choose to save only two of the six people, the rest are executed by a stationary shotgun. Another trap, which is for Tanedra Howard’s unnamed character, is a head trap with metal bars that slowly compact her temples together until it eventually becomes fatal. A third trap shows two unrevealed people being suspended by chains with oxygen masks over their mouth and nose areas. The result of these traps have yet to be revealed.
